Lags Mare is the first mare that we imported ourselves from overseas. Kari bought her off a few poor quality cell phone photos, and was more than delighted with her mare when she finally arrived home many months later! Lags Mare was imported from the herd of Andy McEvoy in Ireland. Andy owned her since she was a yearling, and told me that she was out of a bay mare and by a heavy grey stallion who he would guess is now deceased. Her breeder was named Lags, hence the name "Lags Mare." Lags Mare has only been a broodmare. She is passported under the Irish Piebald and Skewbald Society.

In a few o the photos she is shown still in Ireland with a chestnut filly. We loved Lags Mare so much that in late 2020 we imported the chestnut filly, now an adult!

She produced a beautiful filly for us in 2019, a lovely colt in 2021 and a filly in 2022. She was left open for 2023.
